The webinar will
cover topics on the Testing Strategies most suitable
for ASPICE and most appropriate for the ISO 26262
verification approach which requires test objectives

Today, Model Based Development techniques have
boosted and reinforced the software development
methodologies for rapid development of high quality,
feature rich, robust, and safe software for
Automotive and Control Systems. The modeling
techniques range from Model-in-the-Loop (MIL),
Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Processor-in-the-Loop,
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) to In-Vehicle/In-Plant -
all through the different phases, the functional
components remain the same with only the interface
components changing. |
|
|
|
|
|
The best test strategy for MBD based development is
to have a unified holistic test environment where
functional test cases can be developed only once but
used in any test environment. In the webinar we will
demonstrate how with PIKETEC TPT, test cases can be
developed only once, but can be run in any test
environment - MIL, SIL, PIL, HIL or In-Vehicle! |

|
|
|
|
Quality and Safety hinge on having a test strategy
that ensures a robust test plan for every
development stage with clear requirements
traceability, an elaborate test plan with diverse
test data, ensuring maximum coverage and extensive
regression testing. In this webinar we will discuss
how these aspects are greatly simplified with TPT
Test Software. Other very pertinent topics like
testing AUTOSAR based systems and testing temporal
behaviour of systems relevant to ADAS systems will
also be discussed in the webinar. |

ADDRESSING
STANDARDS WITH TPT |
|
|
|
|
|
ASPICE and ISO 26262 – TPT Ideal for All
Test Strategies |
|
The
ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards focus on the
refinement of the software development
processes to ensure the development of high
quality and safe software systems. These
standards ensure that test strategies for
verification start very early in the product
development phases. These standards require
test strategies that are consistent, ensure
coverage, support exhaustive regression
cycles and ensure requirements traceability
with clear comprehensive reports.
TPT supports various test methods.
Functional black-box tests, structural or
white-box tests, module tests, integration
tests: all these test methods can be easily
modelled with TPT.
TPT is suitable for unit testing and
integration tests, ranging from testing MiL,
SiL, PiL, HiL to vehicle testing, including
Back-to-Back testing. Unit testing methods
supported with TPT specifically, involve
testing the interface or testing based on
requirements.
Besides, the “TPT Tool Qualification
Package” is certified by the TÜV Saar in
Germany to support all TPT users on the
qualification of the TPT tool according to
ISO 26262. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
For given
SWCs and their associated ARXML files, TPT
automatically generates a test harness for
functional tests. This test harness
integrates a test RTE which is generated by
TPT for one or more SWCs. |

DEVELOP TEST
CASES ONLY ONCE, TEST IN ANY TEST ENVIRONMENT |
|
|
|
|
|
Designed
test cases can run in many different
environments for MiL testing, SiL testing,
PiL testing, HiL testing, ECU testing and
vehicle testing. TPT is able to execute your
test cases in many well-known execution
environments.
Test execution with TPT is based on a
virtual machine (TPT-VM) — that is the same
for all test environments supported by TPT.
Several platform adapters are available to
integrate the TPT-VM in different test
environments. |

AUTOMATIC TEST CASE GENERATION |

Generating test cases for Simulink models,
TargetLink models, and C-Code (TASMO) |
|
TASMO,
“Testing via Automated Search for Models”,
by PikeTec generates test data by analyzing
Simulink models, TargetLink models, and
C-code. It finds the smallest amount of test
cases to achieve the most comprehensive
structural coverage (Condition Coverage,
Decision Coverage) for the model or C-code.
TASMO uses a unique combination of static
analysis and evolutionary algorithms to
fulfill its task.
Among other things, the test cases generated
by TASMO can be used to run back-to-back
tests and regression tests to meet the
requirements of safety standards like ISO
26262. |

TPT Ideal for
Testing ADAS Systems |
|
|
|
|
|
TPT is
ideally suited for testing Advanced Driver
Assistance Systems (ADAS) at any test level.
For the testing of driver assistance
systems, the own vehicle, the driver, road
users, roads and surroundings, obstacles as
well as weather and friction coefficients
must be controlled in parallel and varied
and combined for the test scenarios. The
vehicle behaviour must be assessed in all
situations. All this can be done very easily
with TPT.
As with all tests, signal descriptions are
necessary for module tests for driver
assistance systems. Furthermore, module
tests for driver assistance systems have
special requirements in regard to the test
software. The test software must be able to
process object lists with various
attributes, it must support temporal and
reactive processes, and it must be able to
simulate the module environment both with
and without a dynamic model of the
environment or rerun measured data.
Additionally, a large number of scenario
variants must often be tested. TPT meets all
these requirements! |
